My boat hauling business model includes an International 9700, 26900 GVW truck with a DT 466 and a 10ft sleeper pulling a 53ft, 4 axle custom made gooseneck boat trailer that also can haul cars and freight. My trailer is a 4 axle knock-off of a Broward. You should buy a 53 ft with car tracks for about $21,000. The only class 8 trailer I would use is a Waltron with a detachable gooseneck. Boat Hauling US has about 250 freight brokers including some auto brokers. I broker a lot of my own auto loads also. It’s all about keeping deadhead miles low and getting to your next boat haul. If you are leased to a carrier, I would analyze that and would work with qualified truckers. I will personally qualify people with their own authority.

The equipment lease, the DOT authority and insurance would have to be current and in perfect order. Your job history and driving and claims history would be thoroughly analyzed.
